In the Fall of 2020, the 28 year-old bleachers at Knights Stadium were condemned for use. In December of 2020, local businesses JNB Services, 3-D Drilling, and Wolfe Excavation volunteered their time and equipment for the removal of the bleachers (see photos). In December of 2020, the Preston County Board of Education authorized a contract from vendor Stadium Solutions to replace the bleachers, which were completed in the Spring of 2021 (see photos). Funding for the bleacher replacement project was paid for by the school levy passed by the citizens of Preston County in 2019.
To better demonstrate the positive impact of the levy, signage paid for by the Preston County Levy Committee, will be placed on significant maintenance projects in schools throughout the district. Preston County Schools is greatly appreciative of the support the levy has provided to our students, staff, and schools.
